The early Britons were not painted savages, when the Romans came there were roads the length and breadth of the island.

Using the early records of the Celts alongside the Greeks and Romans, a much different picture emerges, of a high standard of civilisation showing Britain was connected to the rest of the world through trade in essential items such as gold and tin.
